Working with Teens and Their Families
What Is Teen Therapy?
Teen therapy is a dedicated, one-on-one space where your teen can slow down, breathe, and talk about what’s really going on—without pressure, performance, or judgment. It’s a place to feel seen and heard, whether they’re struggling with anxiety, depression, school stress, identity questions, or simply trying to make sense of a world that often feels overwhelming.
As a therapist who specializes in working with adolescents, I bring over eight years of experience supporting teens both in private practice and in school settings. My approach blends evidence-based techniques—like CBT, EMDR, and mindfulness—with holistic tools including somatic practices, expressive arts, and nature-based therapy. I meet teens where they are, helping them build inner resilience, emotional awareness, and a sense of grounded direction. I also support teens and families navigating academic and college planning.

“Lisa has been an incredible support for our daughter during such an important time in her life. She was struggling with focus, self-esteem, and managing everything that comes with high school—academics, emotions, friendships, you name it. Lisa was able to meet her exactly where she was, helping her feel seen, heard, and supported. She not only helped our daughter navigate her academic challenges and stay on track with school, but also guided her in setting personal goals and managing stress in a much healthier way. Lisa was someone she could talk to when things felt overwhelming, and someone we could trust to partner with us when more support was needed. Her presence brought so much calm and clarity to our family—we’re incredibly grateful.”

As a parent, it can be painful and confusing to watch your teen struggle. You don’t have to navigate this alone. Therapy offers not just a lifeline for your teen—but also relief, guidance, and partnership for your family.
Together, we can help your teen reconnect with their strengths, gain tools for emotional balance, and step into young adulthood with greater confidence and clarity.
